9月16日中午，记者来到西南政法大学渝北校区，在该校东苑食堂二楼的一家麻辣烫摊位内找到了那道被网友热议的菜“冰镇麻辣烫”。
“老板，来一份冰镇麻辣烫。”正值学生午饭时间，不少学生都在排队买麻辣烫。记者看到，工作人员将选好的菜一齐倒入滚烫的红汤里，至煮熟后捞出再加入调料。和其他麻辣烫不同的是，装盘后，工作人员又从冰柜里取出细碎的冰块撒在盘里。至此，这道“冰镇麻辣烫”就算完工了。
罗蓉是这家麻辣烫的承包人，她称，“冰镇麻辣烫”是今年夏天才新推出来的，也是由她创作的“独家菜式”。
“夏天吃麻辣烫太热，学生就买冰镇饮料来配，一冷一热对肠胃伤害大。”罗蓉说，于是她便萌生做冰镇麻辣烫的想法。为不影响麻辣烫的口感和注意卫生，她还用牛头熬成的汤再做成冰块。“这道菜主要是针对夏天。”罗蓉说。
